Derrick® & STEP Oiltools Awarded Contract for Njord A Shaker Upgrade
February 20, 2018 – Houston, TX. Derrick Equipment Company and STEP Oiltools have been awarded a contract to supply Dual Pool® 626 VE shale shakers and a bespoke flow divider for the Statoil® Njord A platform.
This contract is part of a complete upgrade of hull and topside of the platform being managed by Kværner™ AS. The scope of supply includes four (4) Dual Pool 626 VE shakers that feature Derrick’s innovative fluid centering and Pyramid® screen technology for increased solids removal efficiency. The Dual Pool 626 VE shakers will also include vapor extraction covers to protect personnel from oil mist and vapors emitted during the screening process.
The Dual Pool 626 VE shakers were selected after a thorough review that included an independent, third party noise and vibration evaluation. This is the third Statoil fixed platform to receive Dual Pool 626 VE shakers after the Peregrino A in Brazil and the Statfjord C in Norway.
