Derrick Unveils Hyperpool GT: The Next Generation Shaker Setting a New Standard for Efficient Solids Control

Buffalo, NY – March 5, 2026

Derrick Corporation recently introduced the Hyperpool® GT, a next‑generation shale shaker engineered to move more tons per hour than any comparably sized shaker in its current market. The Hyperpool GT delivers streamlined maintenance, plug‑and‑play installation and up to 22% higher total handling capacity than its predecessor, the original Derrick Hyperpool.

The original Hyperpool has stood as the industry benchmark since 2012, and the Hyperpool GT builds on its predecessor’s 10+ years of proven field performance.  It features interlocking compression technology and a redesigned shaker bed to increase flow handling, minimize fluid loss and ensure predictable performance in today’s fast-paced drilling environments. Combining Derrick’s legendary reliability with modern upgrades, the GT delivers improved panel hold‑down and sealing while retaining the original Hyperpool’s footprint and underflow hopper for a low‑risk, drop‑in path to higher performance. Patented Pyramid® technology screens further expand non‑blanked screen area, boosting capacity and efficiency in full compliance with API RP 13C.

The Hyperpool GT reflects our ongoing commitment to advancing solids control performance for our customers,” says Mitch Derrick, Chief Executive Officer at Derrick Corporation. “By building on a platform widely adopted across the industry, we’ve introduced thoughtful enhancements that support ever-evolving drilling demands.”

Recent field deployments underscore the Hyperpool GT’s impact on both cost and performance. In the Colorado DJ Basin, the GT delivered a 13% increase in solids removal efficiency compared to a competitor’s latest shaker, reduced retained oil on cuttings by 19%, cut average screen consumption per well by roughly 50% and generated more than $360,000 in savings per eight‑well pad. In the New Mexico Delaware Basin, the Hyperpool GT achieved a 520 bbl average dilution savings per section over its competitors, delivering $88,000 in savings per well.

“We’re encouraged by these early results and the potential benefits they show,” says Brad Derrick, President at Derrick Corporation. “The Hyperpool GT offers meaningful improvements, and we believe it has the capability to influence solids control performance in a positive way.”
