African Mineral Sands Operation
“We were fortunate enough to have the opportunity to visit Derrick Corporation’s state-of-the-art facility while evaluating Stack Sizers for our South African mineral sand operation. From the moment we arrived, it was evident that Derrick is dedicated to producing top-quality products. All components are fabricated in-house using advanced CNC machines, stick and robot welders, and automated precision laser-cutting machines in a climate-controlled environment. The facility also strictly follows safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment and a 5S system.
The team at Derrick is highly professional and provides excellent customer service. Their attention to detail and quality control process is evident at every stage of fabrication, including the assembly and testing of each product. The facility itself was impressive—it is impeccably clean, and the extra care taken, the quality control checklist followed at each stage, and the use of automation and computerization helped to minimize waste and improve efficiency. Additionally, the in-house blast and paint shop, featuring a vacuum system to reduce overspray and excess fumes, ensures that each product is coated to the customer’s specifications.
We left with complete confidence in the quality of Derrick’s products and would have no hesitation in purchasing from them in the future.”
